American Airlines customer service is just terrible

I had wanted to inquire about something in my hotel but I was passed from one point person to the next without being able to talk to someone who could actually make a difference in the situation that I was in. It does not make sense to keep passing me around. Right now all I want from American Airlines is for them to give me back my points and reinstate my balance for this terrible booking that I had tried to make on their service. I think that American Airlines should rethink their customer protocols.
